Obviously the regular season goes out the window when the playoffs start, but usually we think of playoffs spots being earned. It goes against what we expect. It'd be fun while it lasted but afterwards I'd feel a little indifferent. Hey remember all those crappy players who weren't fun to watch over half the time.

The point of sports is to win a championship....unless your team has a crappy regular season then in which case you should probably tank in the first round of the playoffs so that other fanbases don't laugh at you.

Did I get that right?

The level of fun watching them win the super bowl would be more than enough to offset the lack of fun from the regular season games.

I had more fun watching the Bears take the lead in a Super Bowl in a season in which they were awesome than in just about any individual game that season.

In my perfect scenario the 2015 Cubs barely squeak into the playoffs, have an awesome run and win the World Series. We all have many of those "This is actually happening?!?!?!" moments. Then starting in 2016 we win 110 games every year and make the late 90s/early 00s Yankees look mediocre.

Which is kind of like how it was for me with the Packers, except they have not finished in the playoffs very well since their SB title.

I will admit that the championship DVD for a Super Bowl champion that had a 5-11 regular season would be interesting to watch.

Interesting as a non-fan. A great 30 for 30. As a fan of the team, way too many mixed feelings and something similar to survivors guilt.

Win it after barely sneaking in? Would they even raise a banner for that or would they avoid it so that opponents aren't laughing at them when they come to town? Might ruin the home field advantage.

I'd celebrate twice as hard and do like a tour of every other team's city to show off my trophy.

As originally stated trolling hard is the only other possibility. The classic defense mechanism to shield your survivors guilt.
