Might as well just lose out if this is what it's going to be.

Yikes. Nobody is going to out-miserable this.

seriously

like, these playoff series go 5 and 6 games all the time. it's not ideal but it's fine. this is one of those annoying scrappy teams that scraps these games out.

reminds me a little of the pacers in the 2010-11 first round.

A little Bulls vs Pistons in 2007.

You expected this series to go 6 or 7? I expected the Bucks to play how they are, but I didn't expect the Bulls to be this bad the last two games.

The 2010-2011 Bulls would skull [expletive] this Bulls team.

The celtics scrapped by a 38 win Hawks team in 7 games and then went on to win the championship

maybe, maybe not. on paper i like this team (a lot) more but obviously they have been very schizo all year.

Thibs' teams give their effort during the regular season. This is what happens when you ride a horse too hard early on.

Come on with this [expletive].

"These playoff series" would imply that one of these is this very one

Sorry, but Thibs' teams play much better during the regular season. Why?

Comparing the regular season to the playoffs isn't going to prove anything. And Thibs' teams playoff record is skewed for pretty glaring reasons. It's not like they haven't had some great playoff series under him, and you're talking about this series like it's been a bust from the start. Two very frustrating losses, sure, but it's not like everything is over because they're 3-2 against an excellent defensive team.

i bet the bulls FO is loving that the meatballs have inexplicably turned on thibodeau. it will make it really easy for them to dump him now.

Inexplicably? There's plenty of reasons to have "turned on" Thibs. I personally don't want him fired, but I wont be too upset if he is.

There's literally 2 coaches that i'd rather have.

i wonder if people really think thibs had nothing to do with butler and mirotic's (and to a lesser extent which might be a greater extent in the near future - snell's) development other than impeding it by not playing them enough or whatever

Thibodeau is now 20-24 in the playoffs as a head coach. It's time to seriously consider if he's actually not a really good coach. I mean Randy Wittman and Jason Kidd are outcoaching him in back to back playoff series.

Thibodeau has lost just about every important player on his team in playoff series the previous 3 years to a series of fluke injuries that have a specious, if any, connection to the minutes they have played. This series hasn't been his finest (and last year's wasn't either), but his record speaks for itself.

Right, it's bizarre how people just gloss over that they were missing their most critical player for multiple playoff runs.

As much as I'm enjoying the ridiculous histrionics here, that series isn't really comparable. The Celtics outscored the Hawks by 84 points in that series.
