Week 6: Bears (2-3) @ Falcons (2-3) 3:25 PM FOX/780

Road Bears games are always fun. My last one I went on was vs Tennessee, all the Titans fans were leaving in the 2nd quarter of that one. This year's road schedule, Atlanta seemed like the most enticing option for Bears fans to make a trip. Not a lot of other good road games to go to this year like Tampa, Miami, Nashville, or New Orleans.

I hate Bears road games. The last (only) 2 I went to were 2009 in Cincinnati (Bears lost 45-10) and last year in Detroit (Bears lost 40-32, but it was 40-16 midway through the 4th). Both times, the fans really enjoyed letting us Bears fans hear it on the way out.

Be glad. I thought that the Bengals had a rather apathetic fan base, but my ears were ringing from hearing their yokel fans telling "WHO DEY, WHO DEY, WHO DEY SAY GONNA BEAT DEM BENGALS" in my ears for 4 hours. I think because Bears fans travel so well, home fans feel threatened and really let our fans hear if if/when they win/dominate.

I went to that game, they weren't that bad, compared to how some Bears fans treat opposing fans at Soldier Field. Although their rather strong redneck accent was quite annoying. Who Dey had to be stolen from the Saints Who Dat? I left at halftime and got back to Chicago two hours quicker than I thought.

I've been to a bunch of road games, most of them wins. NYG with the FG return for TD, Jets games, several Eagles games. The worst was last year of course, but that was so bad I don't think Eagles fans even had anymore interest in heckling.

Road games are fun, the only road fans that have trouble are idiots that get their feelings hurt from being told to [expletive] off on occasion or morons that heckle the home crowd.

You left at halftime....the fans continued to drink and get more aggressive as the game went on. After the game, I saw Bengals fans picking fights with Bears fans. One fight I saw a Bears fan get shoved to the ground by 3 Bengals fans, that Bears fan got up and ran to a police officer for help, the police officer shoved him to the ground and cuffed him. Great times.

I went to the Bears-Packers week 17 during the 2010 season (although it was Jan 2nd), and Packers fans were really pretty decent. Maybe it was because I was with a few Indians with beards and the Wisconsonites were scared, but still treated pretty well overall. Doesn't hurt that the Bears already won the division.

Packer fans that live away from the state line are usually pretty decent. Its the ones who live in Southern Wisconsin or Illinois who are the assholes.

I'm heading to the Detroit Thanksgiving Day game. Ponied up for Club Seats ($220 on StubHub) to avoid some of the riff raff, but it's Detroit and people will have been drinking since the night before, so who knows?

Thrilled that it's in a dome. I'm too old to be sitting through cold weather...
