Call it meatball, or realistic based on the Bears history in SF, but I fully expect meltdown mode Cutler. Jay with 3 INTs.

31-10 Niners.

I'll be starting Carlos Hyde in my Fantasy league as well. Guy looks scary good.

Seriously:

@AdamHoge: Willie Young on the zone-read: "I wouldn’t be surprised if we get that the rest of the year."

The 49ers should exploit the crap out of this defense with the zone read.

Sort of apropos to the earlier discussion

Chicago Bears ‏@ChicagoBears 4m

Trestman: #Bears traveling to SF a day earlier than usual on Friday for Sunday night game against 49ers.

@BearReport: #Bears have signed S Ahmad Dixon off the Vikings practice squad and waived CB Demontre Hurst.

slauson also has high ankle sprain

So that's not good. [expletive]

The backups played well in this case. I'm not all that worried on this piece.

How are you not at all worried that Slauson could be out for a while?

He's definitely more worrisome than Garza, but Ola played well.

it's still week 1 and they have depleted all depth and a good player is going to be missing

I'm just glad we have the depth to be able to deal with it for the time being, but agreed...injuries are a concern anytime they happen.

Yep, there's no quality depth left for anymore injuries and arguably the best OL on this team is out for at least 4-6 weeks.

I expect they'll re-sign Britton.

Sure, but think about all the other alcoholism-inducing crap that came from yesterday. Slauson isn't topping my list, because Ola held down the fort.

Those two injuries were some of the worst things that came from that game other than the loss itself.

Well, not so much the Garza one in and of itself, but the loss of depth that resulted, because DLP is actually an upgrade.

DelaPuente is an upgrade over Garza. Based on yesterday and preseason, Ola will be solid enough. Re-sign Britton, cut one of the too many RBs. Keep Leno Jr active on gamedays. Depth is OK.

Just needs to hold together for a few weeks. Hard to say how long with that type of injury.

I knew we weren't going to get as lucky with offense health this year, but damn.

Between UMFan & me, it gets pretty bad in here sometimes.

Usually Goony comes in Monday and calms things down but today he's like holy crap we're bad.

I know it's just one game, but after seeing Seattle the first night something clicked and it was just like, "oh, right, even if the Bears somehow made it to the Super Bowl that's likely the team (or caliber of team) they'd face and they'd likely be destroyed." And yes, the SB is also just one game, but I've already shifted into acceptance mode and anything positive the Bears pull off is just cake.
