Well here we go. Hopefully our D can gain some confidence against an offense that will likely struggle.

34-17 Bears

Things get tougher in a hurry after this.

41-14 Bears

Cutler goes for 350 with 4 TD and a pick

You can all hate on me. I think the Bears struggle in this one but ultimately get the win. Everyone panics when we get blown out by SF, but everything is ok and we end up going 10-6.

Bears 27

Bills 23

Cutty 17-30, 255 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

Forte 115 yards, 2 TD

Buffalo has a better defense than I remembered.

Make it 34.

I wouldn't be surprised if they struggle in this game, but the Bears have a recent history of being strong starters.

4 straight season opening wins (and 5 of 6), the last 3 against teams that would eventually go to the playoffs in that same season (and 4 of 5 wins). 2 blowouts and last year's 4th quarter comeback. Going back 6 years, you have the blowout of the Colts in their stadium opener. So, I expect a struggle in the 1st half, but the Bears dominate in the 2nd.

14-14 half. Bears win 31-17.

Then they beat San Francisco in Week 2.

Man I just can't see the Bears beating the 49ers at all. I just can't. The last time we played them, they completely embarrassed us on national TV. I know they've looked pretty mortal in the preseason, but I just see them Harbaugh completely outcoaching Turner, and having Kaepernick toy with us as he scrambles for first down after first down. I see their defense getting pressure on Cutler enough to make him go into his infamous shell. Of course I'm a negative [expletive] so its no surprise that I can only visualize us losing.

I hope I'm wrong!!

That's a very very different team in very many ways.

Speaking of that game:

Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs 46s

In 2012 game at San Francisco, #49ers Aldon Smith had 5.5 sacks vs. #Bears

lmao, wow. so glad my power cut out due to the storm that night.

Also known as the day Gabe Carimi's career ended. Got his ass handed to him, benched, moved to OG, hurt again, cut, then cut, then cut, then cut again.

We'll see. The 49ers won't have Bowman and Smith. Might not have Boone either if he's still holding out.

Britton was cut. 7th rounder Charles Leno made the team.

@BradBiggs: #Bears will terminate the contract of OL Eben Britton. So down to 8 linemen now meaning Charles Leno Jr. likely safe.

@AdamHoge: Eben Britton might qualify as 1 of those vets the #Bears look to bring back after Week 1. Then contract won’t be guaranteed for full season.

Is Green-Ellis hurt? Why would the Bengals cut the guy who led the team in rush yards and TDs the last two seasons?

Because he's not that great and he's more expensive than the cheaper, younger alternatives.
