Damn Starlin, I stick up for you but that was real bad man.

Why are we angry at Starlin for hitting a single?

He crushed a ball to center, but got under it just a tiny bit and it went off the wall. It was only a single because he stood there admiring it instead of running.

I hate anti-Castro meatball-ism with the best of him, but come on, Starlin. It's not like that was some kind of no-doubter.

Anti-Starlin Meatballism was born of ESPN getting him the one time when he was 21 or 22, but that right there is absolutely inexcusable. It's not about "playing the game the right way" or anything like that, it's about costing your team in a big way. God that play annoyed me.

Why did Baez not score?

Sorry boys, but it ain't all racist when it comes to Starlin.

No one ever said it was.

Sure seems like it. But maybe I'm now just the one making generalizations.

People being racist about a ballplayer's mistakes don't mean the ballplayer doesn't make mistakes. It means he's held to a standard white players aren't. Guarantee Castro's gaffe will be a story tomorrow, especially if they lose. Coghlan could have done the same thing and it'd be gone already.

Why did Baez not score?

He wasn't sure whether the ball would be caught, which is completely understandable.

Looked like it would be caught.

He had to hold up in case it was caught. Hamilton got reasonably close to it. Then it went off the wall and went straight to Hamilton, who made a good throw in.
