Nice, hard contact on a hanger. Even if he doesn't make huge improvements with the approach, he possibly still could be like Soriano and make a career out of crushing hangers.

He's successfully adjusted enough times in his career that it would be a big surprise and a big disappointment to me if he can't do so in MLB.

If he learns to go with that pitch and hit it opposite field like Sammy did, Javy's going to be a very tough out.

i don't think he's got any issue with that

just off the top of my head it seems like he has hit a ton of opposite field home runs

I've seen the home runs, but I also see him trying to pull pitches on the outer half of the plate. Maybe it's just SSS of his AB's I've seen.

If we put out this line-up in front of a league average rotation for 162 games, we'd have to end up with around a 500 record, right?

Maybe? I want to say yes, but the offense being awful the last few days is clouding my judgment.

Two of their three best hitters next season (probably) are still in the minors though.

But he said this lineup. NVM. I can't read.

Just by my watching about every 3-4 games it appears as if Rizzo is struggling lately. I don't know if the numbers prove it, tho.

About a two week slump. Probably just tired.

How the hell did he get that ball to nearly the warning track in LCF??? He was out in front, swinging with one hand at a ball on the low and away outside corner.

Matheny brought the infield in with no score in the first inning. With Stanton up.

Cuz that's the right way to play, damnit!
