Lock down pen - love it. Where does our pen rank in the NL? MLB?

Yeah, but what if we erased every pitch from Veres?

he threw 17IP for us (out of a total of 256 bullpen innings) - so if you take out the 17 IP and 14 ER he allowed, we'd have a 2.94 bullpen ERA, which would be 3rd overall

(78 ER / 239.2 IP ) * 9

Don't think Veres pitched for us at all this year.

Wouldn't it make more sense to have a night / evening game in DC today, then a giant fireworks show after the game?

That's not what the framers intended

The game sold out, so it seems they were making sense.

7.5 games out of the 2nd wildcard spot may not give reason to start printing playoff tickets, but it's the closest thing to optimism in 5 years. Think they'll hold off on any sale plans?

No.

Sutcliffe said that Theo said that if they win 10 in a row we're buyers. Almost halfway there.

I'd say if they were somehow ahead of the Marlins by the ASB, they might actually be considered contenders. They'd still have 4 other teams to pass, but 4 is more reasonable than 8, and if they can get past the Marlins, they'll be within striking distance of everyone else.

For now, they're just "not terrible", which is a change of pace, but not buyer territory.

Unless he told Sutcliffe separately, wasn't it actually 15 in that quote?

I will say this. Some people are taking some notice. I keep my tickets on StubHub priced high until the game date gets close. This week I have sold a few games down the road at much higher prices that I had been getting earlier in the year.
