I sat right behind the rockets bench a few years ago. Aaron Brooks is one of the tiniest, non-little person men I've ever seen.

5'4, 130 if I had to guess.

6'0", 160

Hence my dumb anecdote. He's tiny. I'm 5'11 and towered over him.

Oh [expletive], I forgot I wore stilts that night.

My bad, guys. Special apologies to you, Derwood, as you seem to be particularly invested in Brooks' height.

I thought he was a make a wish kid before he took his warm up off and I realized he was Aaron Brooks.

@GeryWoelfel

Told TWolves ready to pull trigger on sending Love to Cleve, but Cavs balking on future No. 1 picks. Seriously?

@GeryWoelfel

Also told if Cavs won't surrender future No. 1's, Bulls could enter Love Sweepstakes, especially with Mirotic in play.

Sources say that the Bulls, though, have re-entered the race and would appear to be the biggest threats to the Cavs, thanks largely to the Golden State Warriors' resolute unwillingness to add longtime Wolves target Klay Thompson in any deal.

Although the full extent of the Bulls' offer wasn't immediately known, it is believed Minnesota would seek a package from Chicago featuring forward Taj Gibson and defensive ace Jimmy Butler in addition to other assets. The Bulls shelved their Love interest while trying to sign Carmelo Anthony away from the New York Knicks but, according to sources, have re-emerged as contenders.

Jesus, not that it should have any bearing on whether we acquire him or not, but what the hell would we do with all of those bigs. I guess Gasol would be a really good 3rd big.

Kevin Love could get some time at 3 in an all big lineup? Gasol won't be playing more then 30 minutes a game and he'll be out of the game in late 4th quarter situations as it is currently constructed.

Can Gasol play the 5 as a backup?

Rose

Snell

Dunleavy

Love

Noah

Brooks

Hinrich

McDermott

Mirotic

Gasol

That bench might make the playoffs in the east

Pretty sure that's going to be the case without Love.

How about Gibson, Miritoc, and two No. 1's (including the Sacramento pick)? Or am I dreaming that we can get this done without including Butler?

Seriously, that would be at least as good as anything the Knicks have to offer.

You're dreaming. I think it would have to include Gibson, Mirotic and Butler to come close to Cleveland.

There's 30 minutes a game for Pau, if Love were to be acquired. That said, my honest guess is this is Minny's last gasp to pry a bit more from the Cavs.

Mirotic cant be traded until like December 15th because he just signed his contract. On a related note, the Bulls signed Bairstow already but Doug McDermott still hasn't been signed....

2 random thoughts about these rumors...

1) RealGM is all over this already but these rumors may have surfaced from the TWolves side to get the Cavs to give up more in a trade (in addition to Wiggins).

2) It's possible the Bulls feel like they need make the trade to prevent Cleveland from getting Love and ruling the conference for the foreseeable future. Obviously it also makes them better but comes at the expense of assets the Bulls need.

Gibson, Butler, McDermott, Sac 1st, Chi 1st and the rights to the Serbian assassin we just got or Wiggins straight up?

OK yeah I'd almost certainly take Wiggins still.

I thought it was just 30 days that he couldn't be traded.

EDIT: Draft picks can be traded 30 days after signing, which Mirotic is.

Oh I could be wrong. Perhaps the rules changed over the last CBA, or possibly that's the case with incoming rookies vs. veteran FA signings.

Yep...I edited my post with the appropriate link.

That would leave the team extremely weak at guard. Are we that confident in Snell after a few summer league games?

No, but keep in mind that Butler will be a restricted free agent after this season and we'll most likely have to overpay to keep him.
