We fell asleep from too much domination, no doubt. But those calls, especially the second one, caused this. Horrible.

We just got bitch slapped for the first time tonight. Glad you are all OK with that, but I think this is real trouble

After we were down 0-2 to St. Louis. Names redacted to protect the innocent:

Series over.

[expletive] this team. Go Bulls

Yep. Defeat out of the jaws of victory like every other worthless Chicago team.

what an embarrassing series

When Kyle is the voice of patience and reason, it's a time to have a long hard look in the mirror.

Hehehe

Remember when they lost like all of February in 2010 and they weren't even going to make the playoffs?

The Blues & Sharks don't count in these discussions, being playoff choke hounds

the thing that worries me is that we haven't really played well all postseason. this series is a tossup.

They lost Game 1 at home in the first round against Nashville in 2010 4-1 and fell behind 2-1 in the series. Won the next three.

They lost Game 1 at home in the second round against Vancouver in 2010 5-1. They then won the next three. They lost Game 5 also at home 4-1 before blasting Vancouver 5-1 to win the series.

They lost Game 2 at home in the second round against Detroit in 2013 4-1 and fell behind 3-1 in the series. Won the last three.

They lost Game 2 at home in the Finals against Boston in 2013 and fell behind 2-1 in the series before winning the next three.

It's not like the Kings are rolling this postseason anyway with their 9-7 record.

They'll split in LA, win game 5 because that's what they do, and then hopefully have enough momentum to win game 6 in LA. Do not want to go to a game 7, even if it is at home.

Look whenever the Hawks go on a run a few games this postseason, I start to get bored a bit. So when they lose, we need to all get bent out of shape so we can emotionally invest more

Just thinking back on that game, I think the Hawks felt the same way we did. They were coasting and for the most part dominating, regardless of the close SOG margin, through about 35 minutes of the game. It was getting a little boring, frankly.

The Kings are a good team and took advantage of the opportunities presented to them. And Crawford wasn't sharp.

I agree we'll split in LA, but letting Carter get hot makes me nervous.

Is there any doubt that when the Hawks play up to their potential that they are the better team? They got complacent last night with a 2 goal lead, caught a few bad breaks, and got bitch slapped in the 3rd. If we had to lose at home I'm glad it happened this way. I think the embarrassment will cause them to refocus and come out guns blazing Saturday night. It wouldn't surprise me to see them win the next 3.

No, there's not. A Kings fan would argue the Hawks looked so dominant in the first half last night because the Kings were sleepwalking like the Hawks did later. A Kings fan would also argue that Quick made the big saves when needed last night, and Crawford didn't at all. And on that point they would be right.
