If I was a Homer I would have Detroit up there:). St Louis has been terrible lately, makes me think that they may turn it on in the playoffs. Especially facing the Hawks. But the Hawks are probably the leagues most talented team. IDK, I have pondered on this series for a couple of days and may amend my pick later.

I go back and forth. Hawks probably have the more talented team and has proven it can win in the playoffs and also important and score on any defense and goalie. St. Louis has a long proud history of playoff chokes. But the Hawks have looked sluggish during large stretches this year and have played a lot of games the last 15 months. You'd expect them to turn it on for the playoffs but what if they can't?

 

I think the Hawks will win but I'm much less confident than I was in the first round last year obviously.

Maybe I am just a blind homer but I would be shocked if the Hawks win in more than 5 or gawd forbid lose the series..

So in the I cannot believe that just happened category from last nights Wings/Bruins game. Chara clearly boards Brendan Smith. Could have easily been a 5 min major, if Smith would have actually laid there and played hurt for a while.

 

After Smith got up, Brad Marchand....yes Brad Marchand, came up and confronted Smith about embellishing. Boston makes it so easy to hate them.

A perfect payback for Columbus. In Game 1, the Penguins rallied from 3-1 down to win 4-3. The exact opposite happened in Game 2.

i had the tickets in the literal last row of the Scottrade Center on Saturday and it was awesome. Could stand without bothering people and a great view, and an awesome atmosphere. if only the Blackhawks choke didnt ruin the experience

It would almost be okay if they called the numerous hooking, holding and interference penalties that the Pens have gotten away with.

 

And FML at giving up a goal with 0.7 seconds left in the period
