First Sweet 16 for UCLA since 2008. Pretty sweet. Just wish we wouldn't get eliminated by Florida once again.

I'm still angry at them for 1995 with Cameron Dollar and the O'Bannon brothers.

Come on, you had Arkansas winning it all in 1994.

don't worry guys, i'm still alive.

don't want to say it's bittersweet, but holy moly this team could have maybe won this damn thing had niang not gotten hurt. crazy. still feel good about getting by uconn though.

I think your chances of beating UConn are good

First time all four 4 seeds made the sweet 16.

Pretty crazy that's never happened before.

Though I guess it makes sense this year. The 4-seeds were particularly strong (Michigan State and Louisville were oft-mentioned title picks). And the 5-seeds seemed particularly weak (I picked three of them to lose--three of them did lose and it took an epic collapse for the other to win).

Has Creighton not seen a team all year that has anybody taller than 6'8"? They are completely clueless on how to play against a bigger team. Man I hate Scott Drew.

They, like most teams, are not very equipped to face teams that shoot 10 of 13 from 3. Especially while they are shooting 3 for 17 from 3. Considering that three point success in a game is largely impacted by variance/luck, it really sucks for them that this game had to happen to them today.

I'll tell you what though, for a team that's the best 3-pt shooting team in the country, they really struggled for the past few years against a Zone D that pushes out their shooters. Sure, the middle of the zone is wide open, but that's not really Creighton's strength and it certainly reared its ugly head. Props to Baylor, not sure too many teams would have beat them last night.

I still hate UCLA for the no call on this final shot in the 2008 tournament.

Mizzou ‏@Mizzou · 20h

Congrats to @Stanford on a fine NCAA Tournament win!

a few hours later, mizzou lost to southern miss...in the NIT.

now, I know the psyche of a little brother with an inferiority complex is a complicated, mysterious puzzle that is not easily solved, but i prolly wouldn't troll kansas about its ncaa loss hours before you wrap up your dumpster fire of a season by losing at home in the NIT.

I don't really like smack-talk stuff, but if you're going to do that, I don't think that's really a big deal. Mizzou basketball had a crappy year, and hardly anyone really cared because of the hangover from Football season. Conversely, basketball is all that Kansas has(link), so it's a bigger deal that their season ends prematurely. Same thing would apply for KU fans being happy that Auburn kept Mizzou out of the National Championship game this year. It's all part of the cyclical, no-one-wins stupidity that is trash talking.

Dayton is crazy confident right now.

They're going to need that confidence if they have any shot of beating Florida/UCLA

Dayton's run is a lot like George Mason's in 2006.

Both 11 seeds. Both beat a Big Ten powerhouse in the first round (MSU vs. OSU), both beat a basketball blue blood in the 2nd round (UNC vs. Syracuse), both beat a lower seeded team fellow cinderella (sort of) in the 3rd round (7 seed Wichita St vs. 10 Stanford). If Florida wins, both would face the top overall seed in the tournament that no one thinks will lose to an inferior team (UConn vs. Florida - fake edit UConn was #2 overall seed).

Dayton is a lot better and more dangerous than GMason

No doubt, I've been watching Dayton all year. I'm just saying their runs are similar

I was just really impressed that every time Stanford started to make a run, Dayton punched back. They seemed fearless in the paint.
