I didn't see what was on the end of page 150 and clicked on 151 to see the first 2 posts and thought that Cutler had suffered a freak injury or something.

I think I remember hearing that he had interest in investing in some sort of business after he decided to give up on football. The Bears paid him $1.25M in 2012 (after his injury - thus he knew his future as a player was in peril) so I have a hard time believing he's working a minimum wage job as a fry cook.

I think the Bears would give him an opportunity to do something before it came to that. It's not like he was some fringe roster guy where you hear of stuff like t hat happening. He was a starter and a substantial contributor who had his career cut short by a nasty injury.

Just my guess.

I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't have some sort of insurance policy to pay him a good chunk of money if he couldn't keep playing due to an injury.

He did a lot of things technique-wise that I didn't like, but damn would it be nice to throw 2010 Johnny Knox in the slot on this year's team.

Off topic but I flipped to the fox preseason game for a second an holy wow the new fox graphic is hideous.

I don't know how to copy a picture link from twitter on my phone but here is a link to a photo

Yes but he ruined 2011.

Why is everyone wearing winter coats in August?
Posted
What? There's only one jacket even remotely close to being a "winter coat" (and it's not one) and it's been relatively chilly here at night a lot lately.

Fine, but it was clearly taken when the Hawks were still playing...or it is very, very weird for them all to be wearing BH shirts.

hawks were close to the stanley cup finals like 3 months ago

Fine...it is clearly not a picture taken in the last few days. Which was my original (and very poorly stated) point.

I know somebody that knows somebody that went to HS with Knox in Texas. I'm pretty sure he's not just working there. He apparently was always a humble guy and smart enough to take care of his money.

Josh Norris @JoshNorris

Was impressed again with #Bears T Charles Leno Jr. Think he'll be a quality swing T, at least.

Who is Josh Norris?

EDIT: Rotoworld guy. Ok.

Bears WR Marquess Wilson (broken right collarbone) is expected to be sidelined until "at least" midseason.

Wilson broke his collarbone in three separate places. The specific timeline is 12-14 weeks. It means he'll almost certainly begin the year on injured reserve/designated to return, and leaves the door open for Santonio Holmes to run away with No. 3 duties. I.R./return would make Wilson ineligible to return before Week 10, as the Bears are on bye in Week 9. Week 10 would be a best-case scenario, and isn't terribly likely. Wilson no longer has re-draft upside for the 2014 season, but remains a hold in Dynasty leagues.

Holmes will wear #14.

Took Weems' job and his number. Spurlock getting first crack at returning kicks. Williams will also get a shot. Fuller, Briggs, Mills, DLP, and Britton all missing practice.
