Remember when he was supposed to be a problem in the clubhouse? How, after leaving Miami, he was going to be a cancer in Chicago? So much for that. I find it fascinating that the Miami clubhouse came into so much scrutiny last year for its dysfunction. Maybe it wasn't Marshall in Miami.....

Yeah, for whatever reason, Marshall is one happy man in Chicago.

 

He got to be back with his BFF after tasting Kyle Orton and the sack of crap in Miami.

They can't release him. Would be a 12.5Mil dead cap hit. Can't restructure him because he won't agree to it. Can't trade him because nobody wants to pay him the rest of his 5 year/48Mil contract (4 years left) AND give up a 3rd round pick.

 

Apparently he talked with Chip Kelly and all is well now.

 

After speaking with Kelly, Jackson called several teammates to tell them he is staying with the Eagles, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer. Kelly reportedly told Jackson to work hard and be ready for training camp.

 

The latest reports are indicative of either a change of heart from the Eagles' brass or an attempt to regain leverage in trade talks.

Allen just had his PC.

 

Highlights:

 

Allen says Jay Cutler called him as soon as the deal was announced. (Urlacher groans)

Allen says the Bears are much closer to a SB than people think

Allen: "I wouldn't be here if I felt I was [only] a third-down rush guy. I have a lot left in the tank."

Phil Emery says Jared Allen contract took "a lot of creative thinking on both sides."
