Rodgers took all 1st team snaps in practice...

@Paulimig: #Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers WILL start Sunday vs. Bears, according to a source.

So boned.

Too bad Cowboys couldn't hold a 26 point lead or Gould couldn't hit a FG he usually makes in his sleep.

Just the way it usually seems to go.

It's going to be so ugly if Rodgers gets ahold of these clowns Sunday. The only chance would be if he's rusty and makes a few mistakes.

Of course on the contrary if Sanu doesn't fumble deep in Bears territory about to go up 2 scores, or Cutler doesn't find Bennett in the end zone with 11 secs left or Rodgers doesn't go out in the first Packers game or we don't etch out the Ravens game....guess it's just been that kind of year.

Hahaha, this kinda rules in the ridiculousness of the situation: Rodgers comes back to further drive the nail in the Bears or to give Cutler a full chance at redemption.

I mean whatever lets go full meatball craziness like in 2010

Why would the Packers play Rodgers over Flynn? They shouldn't make the same mistake the Bears did.

I like how with Cutler coming back people were screaming left and right that he'd be too rusty to start, but with Rogers there's barely any mention of the idea.

Aaron Rodgers is a lot better at football, has much more experience in the system he currently plays in, and Matt Flynn wasn't nearly as good as McCown had been.

Pretty sure the meatballs howling about Cutler's rustiness didn't even put that much thought into it as you did with this post.

Probably because Aaron Rodgers is much better than Jay Cutler. Top 3 player in the NFL.

He's still coming back from a major injury; it's not like being a better QB magically makes you better at healing or something.

At least a win over Rodgers would be sweeter and a loss less devastating than a loss against Flynn. Maybe there's rust, maybe they run less, their defense still sucks, etc.

Just trying to stay positive. Trust me, deep down I'm really not.

Right, but I think the rationale with the Bears was that a rusty Cutler may not be better than McCown. I don't think there's as much disagreement over the fact that a rusty Rodgers is still much better than Matt Flynn.

This is true.

Bernstein and Rozner think it's complete madness and Rozner thinks its a 4 month injury at minimum. We'll see.

Also reports that Rodgers starting is a bit premature, won't know for sure until the McCarthy press conference.

And McCarthy just announced Rodgers as the starter.

Outside of a medical malpractice lawsuit (which admittedly is a big deal), why else would the team care if Rodgers reinjures himself and is out for 6 months? He doesn't need OTA's. Rebroken collarbones aren't career threatening and next year wouldn't even be in question.

If it makes anyone feel better Rodgers only averages 3 points per drive against the 2013 Bears defense.

I really thought there was no way Rodgers was playing so this is certainly surprising. Before this I would have given the Bears a 60-40 shot at winning, now I'm thinking 40-60.

Injuries beget injuries.
