apropos of nothing I just saw David Stern on the street chatting up a random guy. I've seen him before with a mini-entourage but he was solo this time. Is he retired yet?

Yes, Silver took over at the ASB

Last night really destroyed any hope of the Bulls gettin Indy in the second round. Pacers pretty much locked up the 1 seed and the Bulls have a fat easier schedule than the Raps down the stretch. I really would have loved to see that bulls pacers series though.

A couple days behind on my NBA news but I just saw that the Lakers scored 51 points in the third quarter against the Knicks on Wednesday. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Yea I don't know what has gotten into the Pacers. When I posted that they held a 3 game lead on the Heat with 10 or so games left. They are not playing well now. I want that matchup badly.

Also Toronto and Brooklyn are both playing well. Hopefully at least will push the Heat enough to force Wade to play and further wear down.

Eastern Conference Semis: Brooklyn over Heat, Bulls over Pacers. It's not out of the realm of possibility.

Yes it is. The Bulls can certainly beat the Pacers as it stands right now, but there's no chance the Heat lose to the Nets.

According to every ESPN tv and radio show, they're just skipping straight to Heat/Pacers. The other 6 teams shouldn't even show up

There's a chance, not likely, but there's a chance they can beat them. 3-0 against them during the regular season, granted two of the wins were by 1 point and one was in OT. The Nets can give them matchup problems, especially if KG/Pierce can find another gear (again unlikely after they looked every bit their age this year). Heat probably win in 5-6, but it's not crazy to think the Nets could win in 7 games.

Is conference record the tiebreaker? We have a nice edge over the Raps, there.

I'd think it's head-to-head first then conference record.

Looks liek we spilt so we should get the tiebreaker.

Apropos to our spirited Ben Wallace HOF debate. Mitch Richmond just got into the HOF. That means the 37 win 1990 GSWs had 3 HOFers in their primes (4 if Timmy Hardaway gets in) coached by the great HOFer Don Nelson.

Thats a disapointing season from a legendary roster.
