No way this Bulls team makes it past the 2nd round.

It's true, this one game hold infinitely more weight than the five game winning streak. DAMN YOU, SAMPLE SIZES.

One good win in that stretch. You're not playing Cleveland in the playoffs.

Ah, gotcha.

Who honestly can get all that upset over regular season losses? I have barely even watched the Bulls after the initial Rose returning excitement because the regular season is so meaningless.

Seriously, this. I have yet to use my seats this season, and likely won't more than 1 or 2 games.

If the Nets or Knicks don't rebound, I would say this regular season is pretty meaningful. Getting that #1 seed is important so you only have to face one of the Big 3 in the playoffs rather than two.

Sure, but they just won 5 in a row. They lost last night largely because Deng was wretched; it happens.

Plus they are short a starting 2 guard, so it's laughable to take a close loss in a tough location without the full team and project it to playoff susceptibility.

But then again he didn't post at all during the Bulls recent win streak, so maybe there is a good reason to root for the Bulls to win during the regular season.

Absolutely. I just feel like there is a difference between not writing a team off because of some regular season losses and saying the regular season is meaningless and not very interesting to watch. That's especially true since the top 3 might be somewhat of a triangle. Miami would likely have a harder time with Indiana than with Chicago. Chicago would have a harder time with Miami than Indiana. And I think as an Indiana fan I might rather face Miami than Chicago, although that one is likely the closest of the three.

Yep. The beginning of the season is especially meaningless.

No Butler plus playing in a city they historically struggle at (even the teams that went to the ECF struggled in Denver), while coming off a 5-game win streak doesn't seem like the time to panic.
