So they went to a running clock in the Louisville-FIU game. Apparently Ron Turner either never noticed OR agreed to it and tried to deny it to the media:

Defense isn't the problem. They've actually played mediocrely this year, which is an enormous step up. It's the offense that's the problem. Also, Campo isn't really the DC. He's an asst. head coach/def coordinator. Clint Bowen is the DC who calls the game.

Utah State has just about done everything they can to shoot themselves in the foot (and had a 31-yard gain wiped out on a bogus procedure penalty) and yet USC is only up 17-14 early in the fourth quarter.

Oh geez. Miami and Savannah State have agreed to shorten the fourth quarter to 12 minutes. Would be nice if these teams scheduled better opponents instead.
