two outs and Valbuena throws home on a non-force. Interesting decision.

 

I'm following on Gameday and thought that was an odd play.

Another chance for the Cubs to not hit with RISP.

 

That's now 15 innings without a run and seven runs in the last 5+ games since scoring 7 against Arizona on July 24.

I'd rather have Travis Wood at the plate

Higher OPS than anyone in the lineup.

 

Second. Lake is still at .885.

I am genuinely shocked Barney got that hit.

 

Well, in his defense (maybe?), Axford is as bad at pitching as he is at hitting.

At least the Cubs have been getting base runners regularly. OBP is their general problem, RISP just manifests itself worse when there are fewer chances.

Bottom of the lineup coming through today.

 

And our pitchers continue to hit.
