Javy walks in ab number two.

4 pitch walk, each pitch looked relatively close to the plate.

Man if he gets the plate discipline thing down, watch out.

Excellent. The following AB after his first two AA homers each were strikeouts where he took huge swings and missed all six pitches. Nice adjustment there.

Flame away, but if the Marlins offered us Stanton for Javy and Almora, I'm saying no.

Unless you're concerned about his health long-term, that's ludicrous.

I'm saying "NO, GOD, THIS BONER IS NEVER GOING TO GO AWAY IF THAT'S ALL IT TAKES TO GET STANTON."

What the hold up on promoting Kyle Hendricks? Am I justified in being excited by him?

I'm guessing it's the fact that he's the starting pitcher in the Southern League All-Star Game on the 17th. Perhaps after that, we will see a group of promotions.

For those who haven't checked on Stanton yet this year, he's missed 40 games and is currently producing at about Nate Schierholtz's level.

Not that I wouldn't pursue him in a heartbeat or trade Baez for him, but this year has definitely introduced some doubt into the "throw whatever you can at Miami for Stanton" plan.

He was pulled after 5 innings and throwing only 50 pitches. I really hope that has something to do with pitching in the All Star game.

I'm pretty sure he's been hitting it well since he came back from injury, but the fact that it's 'YET ANOTHER INJURY' definitely spooks me, considering he's a big dude, anyway.

Considering he is starting that game and will be on 3 days rest, it makes sense to pull him a little early today.

Two of the rehabbers have moved up to Daytona from Mesa. Chang-Yong Lim and Dayan Diaz are pitching for the D-Cubs today.

Damn. Definitely the best pitching of any team in the minors at the moment.

I'm in the same boat; if the Cubs trade for him, I'd be pretty concerned about his injury history.
