Boy, that was a pretty strict definition of the baseline. Crisp didn't move far out of the path.

Pretty sure I've seen guys get further out than that and been called safe. Maybe the ump wanted to save Castro's career by ending that inning while he could.

Think my MLB.TV is a bit behind, but what the heck was Castillo doing?

 

I guess he figured when the throw didn't get cut off he could advance to third. He was wrong.

 

Bell was too busy trying to stop the runner from scoring when it was obvious he would make it easily to be helping Castillo.
