What are some good Twitter accounts for following our prospects?

Actual prospects? People in the media who write about or scout prospects (Cubs-centric or MLB as a whole)?

Media who write about/scout Cubs prospects (more Cubs-focused than a Jim Callis; more prospect-focused than an Al Yellon).

John Arguello (@cubsden) is a good choice. He will talk about the big league squad a bit, though.

I'm not a big fan of Luke Blaize, Brett's minor league guy, but he's another one.

@sahadevsharma will talk minors and majors, moreso majors but he can get detailed on guys like Baez and Kane County's prospects.

I'm really struggling to think of prospect-only Cubs guys.

So Intentional Talk just showed video (from a CF cam) of all four Baez HR. Where did they get this??

24 hours later and there's no video of this? what the hell

Buxton's catch of Almora's hit and Javy's 4 HR were both on Sportscenter last night. The catch was incredible. It reminded me of Edmonds catch in Yankee Stadium.

For those who didn't see it:

That's David Bote at the plate, in case it matters to anyone.

I just want to point out the awesomely terrible "oh yeah!" sound effect.

Do you have mlb network? Theyve been showing all 4

Here's the fourth one. In this swing it looks like he doesn't have the pronounced load, where he tips the bar forward before swinging. For those who have seen all four, did he not do that in his other at bats? That would be a huge change in his swing. This one looks much smoother and more controlled than the ones I saw in spring training spring training.

Saw this tweeted out: http://theivydrip.wordpress.com/2013/06/11/why-baezs-4-hr-is-the-worst-thing-ever/

Apparently one of the main "Committed Indian" (Blackhawks newsletter/blog) guys is trying the same thing with the Cubs. I like their hockey stuff but they care way too much about what meatballs think and it's apparently the same with the Cubs. Also a few exaggerated points.

He sounds like an idiot.

Hadn't noticed that. Good call. Sveum and Theo seem to agree.

Cubs officials enjoyed watching video of Javier Baez’s four home run night on Monday.

“It was quite a show,” Epstein said. “He sprayed it around, covered different parts of the strike zone, different pitches. His swing is really under control and that’s the great thing about Javy and his bat speed. He doesn’t have to swing for the fences. He can take a nice, normal under control swing, the type that would normally produce a line drive or a ball in the gap, and in his case there’s plenty of carry over the fences.”

Dale Sveum watched video of Baez’s blasts.

“I wish I could’ve seen where they landed,” Sveum said Tuesday. “The swings were pretty good. I’ve been watching the video anyway, but one good thing about it is he’s calmed down. He’s cut down his movement [on his swing] about 40 percent, 50 percent. It’s a lot more calm and controled.”

is it common for managers to watch tape on minor leaguers who are far away from the majors like sveum does? he seems to really spend a lot of time studying these guys.

Watching video of your top prospect's 4HR day isn't exactly studying the guy.

Well yeah, but we've seen Sveum commenting on video he's seen of prospects and even potential draftees many times. I've not seen that before, but it could be common for all I know

Yeah, I haven't either. It's got to help that the front office has set up live video feed for all the minor league games.
