Today in Arizona:

@billazbbphotog: Junior Lake makes nice over the shoulder catch in CF for #Cubs extended spring team, follows with double down the LF line.

Fascinating. They're getting him ready to fill a supersub role in the majors, methinks.

Just realized there's only two weeks until the Boise Hawks start up. Damn June is awesome.

May as well give him the rounds. I've heard for a while that they were toying with the idea of him on center; his 3 positions being SS, 3B, and CF, all are in theory spoken for by either top prospects or Castro who's signed long term.

Kane County delayed start (rain).

Javier Baez with an RBI double in the first.

Guessing a hustle double. Only scored 1 with men on 2nd and 3rd. Line drive so maybe lost in the lights? Maybe runners thought it would be caught.

The fun thing is that the opposing pitcher came into the game with a 2.23 ERA, 41 K's in 36 innings. He now leaves with a 4.42 ERA. Solid 2 innings of work, kid.
