Give me Soler RT @JFC_YourStupid Would Appel become #Cubs top prospect over Baez, Soler, and Almora?

Wow, thats some fairly high praise for Soler, especially since Appel is already projected to be a TOR type guy.

To be fair, Badler's been a Soler fanboy for awhile now, going back to before he was signed. Not that he doesn't deserve a fanboy or two.

Didn't know where else to ask this, but I haven't been keeping up with much of the extended farm system outside of the top guys... who has been the biggest surprises/made the biggest strides this year so far? I noticed Alcantara's power and BB% is looking really good so far compared to previous years, but haven't looked into too many other guys.

For me its either Alcantara, Kyle Hendricks, or Willson Contreras.

Also really like Rosscup's K ratios, but he's just a lefty reliever.

Willson Contreras has made the biggest strides thus far. Power up, massive improvement in patience and some relatively nice defensive reports.

I'd rate Soler ahead of Appel too.

Congratulations to Kane County on becoming the most interesting team in the system. It's close, but Almora's two walks and Pierce Johnson's start tonight pulls it out for them.

i'm thinking pierce johnson shouldn't be too long for kane county. his bb/k ratio is really strong - would guess that he's been pretty unlucky on batted balls without doing the math.

I'm traveling. Can someone post the highlights for Johnsons start?

Pierce really needs to be promoted to Daytona.
