Probable Starters

Iowa: RHP Barret Loux (23 IP, 4.50 FIP, 8.22 ERA, 22 K, 16 BB)

Tennessee (game one): RHP Alberto Cabrera (46.2 IP, 3.69 FIP, 3.86 ERA, 46 K, 17 BB)

Tennessee (game two): LHP Eric Jokisch (43.1 IP, 4.05 FIP, 3.95 ERA, 33 K, 15 BB)

Daytona: LHP Austin Kirk (23.1 IP, 5.30 FIP, 3.09 ERA, 13 K, 12 BB)

Kane County: RHP Tayler Scott (38 IP, 3.52 FIP, 2.84 ERA, 23 K, 15 BB)

Kyler Burke is the starter tonight for Daytona. Austin Kirk moved to the bullpen. They haven't updated the roster yet online, so I doubt you'll see the change reflected online pre-game.

Thanks, I had completely forgotten your previous post. I'll update.

Sahadev Sharma always does a good job. Some interesting quotes from rivals:

As one AL scouting director said prior to the season, "It's OK if we see him putting up bad numbers at Daytona -- it's all part of the process."

As one rival NL scout said, [Derek] Johnson may have been the current Cubs front office's most important acquisition as his ability to help develop young, raw arms is unequaled.

Yeah, the Baez quote, and especially when it was made, was a nice bit of perspective as someone who follows daily box scores religiously.

It's really too bad that Rademacher doesn't have any power or speed.

Any chance that Dunston or Baez make their way to Kane County or will they start at Boise?

And where is Michael Jensen?

No - Albert Almora should be coming up in a week and plugging the hole in CF.

Jensen must be too hurt to get into live games.

@CCHodgy: Good luck to my boy @albertalmora movin on up to Kane county!!! #cubs

While Daytona still has the best 1-2 punch, Kane County is officially stacked when it comes to depth.

Soler is in the lineup for Daytona. I never saw why he came out yesterday, but it must have been nothing.

Candelerio ended up 4-5, all singles. Giosker Amaya had 2 doubles. Nice to see those two putting something together.

What's amazing is that, despite Candelario's line, he still has a fantastic K:BB ratio and leads the Midwest League in doubles (as of yesterday). Yet I'm still disappointed by his season so far.

Looks like Almora will be in Kane County very soon.

Why has Stephen Bruno only played 19 games?

Daytona is facing 2012 1st round pick Andrew Heaney. Sounds like he's getting quite a few swings and misses. Baez and Soler are both 1-2 with a swinging K. Baez' hit was a long double while Soler's was a single.
