Now a Soler HR.

And Baez struck out again.

That's 4 XBHs in Soler's last 9 at bats.

Great for Soler. I think Javy needs a day or two off.

Really? He hit a HR just yesterday and didn't strike out.

He's been K'ing a ton though recently. Wasn't the day before yesterday 3 out of 4? I just figure it couldn't hurt.

All three strikeouts were of the swinging variety.

That brings Soler's OPS up to .938. It also puts him fifth in the FSL.

Again, this can't be emphasized enough, told ya Kyle.

All three strikeouts were of the swinging variety.

I hope the struggles convince him to refine his approach.

And that he's capable of doing so.

It should be mentioned too that 8 DCubs have struck out through 7 so some credit should be given to the St. Lucie staff.

I really would like to know if Baez is struggling vs. one kind of pitch and/or location or if he's just hacking at everything. I hope it's the former and he can work on it but I fear it's the latter with his free swinging style and he's probably just hacking at all sorts of pitches and locations with 2 strikes.

Ugh...Saunders has struck out 26 times in 76 AB's (34%). By way of comparison, Brett Jackson has struck out in 24 of 64 AB's (38%). Edited by BeerHere

Never bought him last year during his mini-hot streaks. Had crzay BABIP's at all levels and had k% above 20% at both A levels he was at including it going up by 5% with a promotion.

And Beeler joins Jokisch and Loosen as the latest Tennesse pitcher coming off a string of great starts to get rocked.

At least with Loosen, one can hope he was just off kilter after coming in to relieve Garza last time out.

I feel like I haven't seen Brett in the lineup lately. Is he hurt again?

Also, have there been any early reports on how Vitters has looked so far?

I think they finally DLd Brett due to the foot thing that had been bothering him.

Also, is it just me or is Geiger having a surprisingly solid year?

It's nice that he's matched his Peoria performance, but considering that he's a 1B now(and not a particularly good one), it's hard to get too excited.
