Yeah, wanted one of these two. Don't care which. Just annoying because if they effort level had been there it would have been another solid if not dominating win.

Apparently the league is reviewing Keith's slash on Carter. I would be absolutely shocked if he gets suspended for multiple reasons. Not the least of which that regardless of Keith's intent, Carter had it coming. He tried to break Keith's hand.

I don't know, man. I wouldn't be shocked if they give him a game. It's pretty blatant, completely intentional. I know he apologized later and that's good, but you can't just take a big whack at a guy up high with your stick.

You can't whack a guy against a bare hand either! Carter is fine. There's no reason to suspend him. He served four minutes.

He's fine, but a lot uglier this morning.

It's okay I do it all the time. But not this time.

Does anyone have a photo or gif of the offsides call late in the 3rd? Still think that was a bad call.

I don't have a photo but among the 9 Kings players that were entering and leaving the ice there's one white jersey trying to tag up. Keith probably couldn't see him in the crowd. Not sure how the refs did either. It was a good call.

I do have a problem with the no icing call late but that's not why they lost.

Shouldnt the fact that he was given a double minor factor into it?

If not it should

You think a double minor should lessen the chance for a suspension?

the severity of one at least. I thought i remember Shanahan saying that Torres not getting a penalty played into the length of his suspension last year, but I might be insane.

If Keith gets suspended, start the conspiracy theories because it will mean the NHL is clearly trying to officiate this series to 7 games.

I think he'll get a fine. Last year, Suter(?) tried to kill that guy and he got fined $2,500.

Kane looked pathetic last night. He'd go into the boards for a loose puck and just give minimal effort. Also he had multiple chances to put the puck on net for a good shot and decided to move it to somebody else. Toews doesn't have an excuse this series. There isn't anybody on the Kings with the defensive prowess that Zetterberg possess.

Keith is a repeat offender.

@peggykusinski: Per source close to #blackhawks @DuncanKeith hearing went well didn't seem too worried about discipline, expect to hear any minute now

They keep calling Keith a repeat offender. I don't know why everyone is so quick to discount what brings these things on. Sedin hit Keith in the head first last year, Keith responded in kind. Same with last night. He was responding to an attempt to injure. He isn't a predator out there looking to hurt people indiscriminately.

Because the results of this stuff is so inconsistent. Everybody is trying to figure out the NHL's thinking, which is impossible.

I think most bad acts in hockey can be attributed to retribution for a previous act.

Weird to see Hawks players as bad guys this playoffs. Lots of goon tactics and borderline hits. Not more than the average NHL team but I don't remember as much of it in previous years. During the Cup run, sure Bolland was a pest, but not in dirty way. Eager and Burish would antagonize but again not in a particularly dirty way. Or maybe I am just remembering those days with rose colored glasses.

Now we have people calling Keith a very dirty player among the worst in the league, people calling for Bolland to be suspended for his hit in game one, and the mere presence of Carcillo and Mayers although they don't dress most of the time.
