Other than Wells, that isn't that crazy or any sort of sss. Swisher has been above 3.5 fWAR every year the last 3 years along with an OPS comfortably above .800. Beltre has had fWAR's of 6.6, 5.3, and 6.2 the last 3 years and has 2 seasons of .900+ OPS and a .892 OPS over that time.

For whatever reason Beltre never really gets mentioned as an elite player, but his production puts him there. The guy has basically been the best 3B in baseball over the last 4 years.

In the "Well it's nice he's doing well now" category... Jason Bay has an .813 OPS through 28 games with Seattle (132 OPS+). Not a bad start for a guy who had a .536 OPS last season over 70 games

Meanwhile Matt Kemp is playing like his bat is made out of solidified farts.

worst CFs in the past calendar year:

Man, Cespedes makes me cry.

He's a good player when he plays, but the man is almost always dinged up and it's always something different.

B-R and FG disagree big time on that...

We are now over a 1/4 of the way into the season and Chris Davis is still putting every hitter not named Miguel Cabrera to shame.

.327/.417/.698 and on pace for 52HR and 152RBI

Not that it's shocking, but Miguel Cabrera is an absolute monster

.391/.467/.701 and on pace for 50HR and 198RBI.

I remember when Davis was struggling in Texas and there were whispers he could be a buy low first base target to replace Derrek Lee. Not sure what he did to fix his mechanics in Baltimore, but it's safe to say it's working. I really like Davis, I hope he keeps it up. And I'm not just saying that because he's on my fantasy team 8-[

Chris Davis now has 30HR and 79 RBIs along with a 1.133OPS and .724SLG putting him on pace for 59HR and 156RBI. If he managed to finish the season with .724SLG that would mean he finishes the season with the 11th highest SLG since 1950. 4 of those are Barry Bonds including an .863SLG in 2001.

Soooo when do the Davis and HGH/Steroids stories start coming out?
