where's geo? I always thought he was awesome at pitch framing, but have no idea if that's supported by numbers.

He barely played this year so maybe he didn't qualify if he even did rank highly by the percentages/rate stats.

Jose Molina is probably gonna retire given the season he's had and his age. Should bring him on as an instructor and have him work with Castillo in the offseason. Or forget about Castillo and have him work with Schwarber.

Easier said than done, obviously, but it'd be cool.

saw that and very intentionally didn't link. just brutal.

i do like how straightforward karros was about "yeah, i still assumed we'd win game 6" and "we had a lead in game 7 and all thought we were going to win that, too."

though he does mention how quickly the crowd quit even then.

My guess: It depends on whether the Cubs fall behind in the series or not. The first time it's 0-1 or we come back down 0-2, we revert back to that.

Hopefully they give us something to cheer about this time around. The '08 playoffs basically consisted of a DeRosa homer followed by a comedy of errors.

Maybe somebody should tell him how lazy Aramis bought airplane tickets already!

Yeah, it was more about the team playing horribly than angst. Any team that puts on that display is going to have a dead ass home crowd. The one exception may be a team that is in the playoffs for the first time in forever.

This just blew my mind:

Christopher Kamka @ckamka

Of all the players currently on the #Cubs roster, the player with the most career MLB games played was born in 1990 (Starlin Castro - 740)

Yeah, we all had a good laugh at that in the Minor League forum.

#Braves hired Jose Castro to be team’s assistant hitting coach. Castro was #Cubs quality assurance coach this season (2014)
