The Quakers are still in 1st (after accounting for the 9 starts). :yahoo:

Adam, apparently you have not seen it yet, but the Owls had 9 starts against me last week. Would you use your commish powers and rectify the situation:)

Thanks Adam (or whomever)

yeah if Upton keeps hitting a HR every game and Harvey keeps up a 0.82 ERA you should be great

i won't be too harsh though, since your two best starters just died simultaneously

U may be in first place (in the weak division) but I lead in points and my team is a juggernaut.

Weak Division?????

Top three teams in PF (raw, me, sneaky) are in the other division. It's also been 2 weeks and Chris Davis is still 3rd in total points for hitters, so might be a bit early to draw too many conclusions.

A. Active

Active rosters will be defined as the players selected to score points for the team

during a particular game period. The active roster must be set by noon Monday each week and cannot be changed unless there is a benching, demotion to the minors, fantasy trade or injury. Starting pitchers may be moved into or out of the active roster at any time. The active roster will be limited to but is not required to include:

1. One catcher

2. One 1b, 2b, SS, 3b

3. 3 OF

4. One utility player who may play any position including DH

5. 5 SP - no more than seven total starts per week will be allowed. Teams may have an extra reserve if, and only if, used to avoid a seventh

start. At the time of the extra reserve, there must be a corresponding reduction in number of active starting pitchers.

6. 2 RP

7. Positional eligibility is determined by a players current starting position or his past use. These rules are set forth on the league site as 10 appearances at a position in the current year or 20 the previous year. However, if a player is "named" the starter at a position, immediate eligibility will be granted by the commissioner upon request and general concurrence. Pitchers may be moved into either SP or RP positions freely but may only be used in the role they are used by their major league team. Pitchers in a position other than where they are used will not accrue points during that appearance.

B. Reserves

Reserves are players on the major league roster not on the current active roster. Each team will be limited to three reserve players who may play any position.

C. Injured List

Any player on the major league disabled list may be included on a team’s injured list. The injured list may have as many as three players at any time. Players not on a major league roster who are clearly injured may be placed on the injured list at the commissioner's discretion.

what happens for guys coming off the DL mid-week? Brett Lawrie's getting activated today, do i immediately have to drop somebody to make my roster legal or do i wait until next week to activate him from Injured status?

you can either put him in to your lineup immediately or wait until next week. he just can't still be on your DL next monday.

With Hanrahan disabled, I picked up Andrew Bailey and plugged him in as my second reliever.

Duda's back was minor so he's back in the lineup. dropped maxwell to activate cingrani for today's start.

another reason why all mid-week lineup changes should be allowed. technically, dropping maxwell constitutes a non-starting pitcher mid-week lineup change and shouldn't be allowed.

Ok, then I'm confused. I didn't start Pagan on Monday b/c he had a sore wrist over the weekend and I wasn't sure he'd play this week. I started Duda, but then he was taken out of their second game on Monday with a back injury. So I took Duda out and put Pagan in b/c he's over whatever his wrist injury. Duda's back injury was minor so he's playing today, so I put him back in and took Maxwell out (who only started b/c Pagan had the wrist issue).

Last week, you told me I could drop a guy from my bench, which is what I did to make room for Cingrani. If what I did wasn't above board, you can put Maxwell back on my team and I'll put Cingrani in the minors. But I'm pretty sure this is within the rules as they've been explained to me and how others play.

Finally, I completely agree with you about all mid-week lineup changes. In the past, I've been burned by not doing anything b/c I didn't know what I could or couldn't do (I didn't think I could add a guy unless I was putting someone on the DL or dropping an injured player, then you told me last week that I can make mid-week changes to my bench players) and then when I do things like I did today, I'm told I'm not allowed to do them. I've been playing fantasy baseball for over a decade without issues but I cannot wrap my head around all the rules of this league.

i didn't realize pagan was injured to start the week and that's why maxwell was in there. the "problem" would have been had maxwell just been in your lineup because you intended to start him then you dumped him mid-week to "call up" the reds pitcher.

you're fine with what you did.

and yes, next year we need to start allowing daily lineup changes. too hard to keep track of this stuff. the advantage someone would gain by swapping in hitters for guys on off days or whatever would be pretty marginal.

ok, thanks. I guess I don't know how much info I should be putting on nsbb or whatever.

I think the only real difference is it makes guys with lots of eligibility more value. With such a short bench, it's not like you're going to have a guy at each position that you can plug in on off days. But if you have one of those guys that's eligible at 3-4 spots on the field, then you've got an advantage (at the cost of maybe having better SP depth or something). Of course, most of those super-sub guys are as likely to go 0/4 with a couple Ks as they are to put up significant numbers.
