Rebuilding is fun.

I'm going to be watching a lot of Braves' baseball this year. Amazingly, they're good and they didn't have to suck for a half-decade to do it. Not sure how that works.

Front office with ambition.

Trade raping Arizona helps.

if theo/jed get unlucky with prospects, this thing could be a complete disaster. with the amount of sucking going on now, people are going to be expecting huge things by no later than 2015. even we're not good by then, it's going to be pretty ugly.

It's gonna take awhile. 2015 could become 2016 next year and 2017 the year after that. Just close enough to keep some of the fans calm, far enough away to fend of accountability.

I'm unclear why Camp came out for a second inning. I'm irritated that he was left in that long when he clearly didn't have anything left.

God, you can't even be negative right; why would they bother riding that out? If this team is mediocre or sucks after 2015 I could easily see Theo or Hoyer or both quitting. Instead you have to go right back to your stupid, smelly "they want a shitty team for some fat reason I don't actually believe" nonsense.

I'll walk you through this.

"2015 could become 2016 next year"

That'd be 2014.

"and 2017 the year after that"

That'd be 2015.

So if this team is still mediocre or sucks in 2015, no, I don't think they'll just walk away. As long as they keep the prospects moving slow enough (not that it isn't a good thing to do that), they can hold off accountability through 2015, I'd guess.

no way. things are going to be ugly this summer, and they'll start taking serious heat next year if they still suck. if they suck in 2015, they will be run out of town.

"Holding off accountability" isn't a thing, you monstrous gorilla. If the team is stays garbage for 4-5 years after they've been here I see it much more likely they walk. "Holding off accountability" is what people scrambling to save their jobs are doing. These guys didn't come here with that kind of necessity.

This team is about to be 65-109 under their watch. The fact that they aren't scrambling to save their jobs show that holding off accountability is exactly what they are doing.

A miracle grand slam win would turn my mood around nicely and remind me that this game is fun and awesome. Do that Cubs.
