According to Jesse Rogers on twitter, Ian Stewart will begin his rehab stint in Iowa tomorrow.

I hate the fact that his return really is worth looking forward to.

I have, probably since he came here, had an irrational (perhaps SCS-esque) hope for and love of Ian Stewart. For some reason, the crazy fan in me just wants that dude to turn out well.

Kane County's game 2 starter has been changed to Felix Pena. Dickson starting game 1. Hope Arias is OK.

Probably got some work in on the side somewhere. That's generally how minor league teams operate when it comes to (multiple) doubleheaders.

Update on Game 1 of KC's double header:

Shoulders with a 2 RBI double

Amaya 1-2

Candelario and Vogelbach have been lazy, both walking twice so far.

All those walks are nice.

I'm going let that one go and to move on to being concerned about Vogelbach's power, Baez's approach and Soler's attitude.

Thanks. Vogelbach HR.

We're onto something.

Really not concerned about Soler's attitude. The kid is 21, in a new country and culture and apparently (and I'd say fairly) a bit sensitive about his family that he can't even see right now. He had the right attitude about the whole thing and I'm really not going to worry until he gives me another reason to do so. Besides, most scouts/execs had gushed about his makeup before the incident.

Speaking of fun with small sample sizes, Rock Shoulders is OPSing 1.197 in his first 33 AB on the year. Yeehaw.

OK, Baez's approach, Soler's attitude and the lack of a major prospect emerging in the upper-level rotations.

Yeah, I'm not worried about Soler's attitude either. As big a Javy fan as I am, obviously it'd be great if he showed patience. The pitching thing? It'd be stupid to argue that one. Maybe Vizcaino comes back strong this year? Thats it. Paniagua getting delayed really screwed us. If he's delayed another month or two, his season could be lost. We're waiting on Appel or Gray basically, unless we add one tgru trade.

With game 2 of KC's double header now underway, Candelario has taken his third and fourth BB of the afternoon. Did I mention he doesn't turn 20 until late November?

Come now, the last one is a silly thing to hope for. (Well, I guess Cabrera has some potential to emerge as a "major" rotational prospect; no one else at AA or AAA has that potential and we knew that before the season began.)

Arodys, whenever he starts throwing at AAA again?

Look, if I've apparently got this power to imbue Cubs prospects with the ability to disprove my worries and doubts, I've got to use it to maximum advantage, even if I'm asking for something tough.
