I don't understand why people are so worked up over playing for one run in the 8th inning.

Our back end of the lineup needs every out it can get, and our bullpen has been [expletive].

Thank you Hairston.

both runners moved up, good time to take a big lead here

seeing gonzalez on 2nd....and with hairston and clevenger already this inning.....who is even left?

I won't lie.

I want the Cubs to score here so bad. Score a lot here. So many runs that we end up winning the game and I can feel good about baseball and life for even just a few fleeting moments.

Please, Cubs, please just give me that.

We're just one stupid little winning streak away from .500. I don't want to have to give up yet.

Bill 'Rock' Schroeder from the Brewers broadcast team rivals Hawk Harrelson in homerism. Man is he a [expletive] blast to listen to when bad things happen to the Brewers.

I prefer the three chances to score as opposed to two myself.

It's not quite that simple, since a fly ball or ground ball don't score a run in the three chances scenario.

I doubt that bunting there is much worse, if at all, than swinging away in terms of expectancy.

It's not, just with this struggling offense, my personal preference is the no outs.

DEJESUS!

Fangraphs has the bunt adding .1% win expectancy.

At least they are pinch hitting for Lillibridge.

Where do you find things like that on fangraphs?
