Well at least I got to see Raley warm up in that 14 inning game last week :D

He looked really nervous to me.

@CarrieMuskat: #Cubs deal Brent Lillibridge to #Yankees for player to be named later, or cash considerations.

Takahashi traded to the Rockies for a PTBNL.

Hopefully that opens up a spot at Iowa for Rosscup.

EDIT: Okay, gonna start deleting the posts that beat me out of spite, this is getting ridiculous.

Not done yet but lol

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the Yankees are considering signing Ian Stewart to a minor league contract.

Stewart was batting just .168/.286/.372 in 40 games with Triple-A Iowa prior to his release by the Cubs, but he'll have no trouble getting someone to take a shot on him. Olney previously reported that the Marlins and Diamondbacks are two possible landing spots for the third baseman.

According to the Des Moines beat reporter, Steve Clevenger was sent to a hotel with his bags packed and told he wasn't being called up but to wait for further instructions.

Now some reporters on Twitter are speculating that a midnight deal for IFA pool money seems likely, with the Marlins as a probable destination.

The Marlins 4 pool pods are worth 1.763,100, 438,800, 296,300, and 197,000. We're allowed to acquire 50% of our total budget, which is 4,557,200, for those not knowing the stupid rules.

wtf is a pool pod. this system is awful.

It was supposed to be a sort of transition to a draft.

Each team's total IFA cap is the combination of four pools that would represent the slot pool of each pick they would have had if it were a 4-round draft instead of a free-for-all.

Don't forget each team also has a base of 700,000 as well, that evidently can't be dealt. Our 4 slots, by the way, are 2.873,000, 462,300, 312,200, and 209,700. Some teams, like the Marlins, are probably willing to trade their slots, because they won't be using them anyway.
