Hahahaha the guy who went on record as saying "The Bears offense is not horrible!!!!1111" enjoys an ignorant post that helps him feel better about having such a fail opinion?

The point is that it's a useless stat. The Bears offense sucked just as much in 2011 as it did this year. Forte had 4 100yd+ games including one 200+yd game, and that was in 12 games played.

Christ, you melt down so easily.

Look out, I'm "on record" as saying the Bears' offense is fixable. Holy jeez, I'm humiliated.

Melt down? Hey I'm just pointing out flawed opinion you had of the Bears offense. LOL @ 'its fixable.' Who's really going to say the offense is not fixable?

Feign and posture more please.

There are plenty of useless stats in the sports world. Some of them one can find interesting, which is why I labeled it as a 'Fun' fact. Of course I'd argue the Forte of 2012 is not exactly the Forte of 2011, but that is a different topic.

Its pretty funny how such a useless stat can raise so much vitriol

My posture is fine; I have a mighty hump.

If you agree that the offense as it stands is fixable, then how was my opinion flawed? I made it abundantly clear that I don't think the offense is "horrible" because they have so many critical parts seemingly in place, AND THEN YOU AGREED WITH ME THEN, TOO.

You're so caught up in being in meatball tornado you can't even keep track of what you're mad about.

The offense is fixable in the off-season. Not now. The offense of 2012 is quite a horrible and utter failure of a modern day NFL offense. You referred to it being fixable and not that bad in 2012 to which I let out a mighty HAW HAW in your general direction.

Meatball tornado? Cmon you can do better then that.

What, you thought I was talking about fixing it in the middle of the season? Why would you possibly think that I was talking about anything besides fixing it for 2013? Wait, scratch that; I know exactly why you think things like that.

I was worried about the offense weeks before the actual slide began and posted as such multiple times.

Truth be told, I think the messenger probably had as much to do with it as the message.

Actually I laughed out loud at 'meatball tornado'

You are easily humored as you are angered. Might wanna get that sorted out my man.

Sounds like Melton is probably out for Sunday. Will be listed as doubtful.

So Melton and Toe are both out which leaves Collins, Okoye, Izzy?

What about Paea?

Well, I definitely want the Bears IN the playoffs. But for me to have any more than 3% confidence they can actually pull 1 (not to mention 4) upsets, I have to see the Bears get back to what they did the 1st half of the season. I want to see CBs shutting people down. I want to see an opportunistic defense that not only creates turnovers, but has the sense of urgency to do something with the ball once they get it. They got the gift TO on the punt from the Packers last week, but that's a different game if Walters scoops and scores on that instead of falling on the ball after dropping it the first time.

I want the aggressive version of Devin Hester the last few weeks to continue to make plays going forward. Don't try to make everything into a spectacular TD. A 15-20 yard punt return is pretty good, and much better than a fair catch with nobody around or running backwards trying to make something happen that's not even possible.

And last but not least, I want to see an offense, that if not moving the ball all around for 450 yards, at least takes advantage of field positions and get points. The Cards have a pretty good pass D, so I'm not expecting an offensive onslaught. But the offense put up less than 300 yards in the first Vikings game, and still put up 28 points. Put up 28 points in any game with this defense, and they'll win every game. But they put up those 28 points because they took advantage of what they were given. While the O did put together an 80-yard TD drive and a 51 yard FG drive, the rest of the points (17) came after getting the ball at the Vikings 34, 13, and their own 46. With the Cards offense, the field position advantage should happen again today. Gotta get 7 when you get the ball on their side of the field. Gotta get at least 3 when you get the ball outside of your own 40. A drive of 30-40 yards isn't too much to ask for, especially when 30 yards could mean points.

If this team wins 2 desperation games and continues that streak into the playoffs, it's not going to be pretty like the Packers and Giants before them. They aren't going to start throwing for 300-400 yards and overwhelming teams with the pass rush. They are going to have to do it ugly, with defense and a mistake-free offense. They are going to have to be the 49ers of last year without the special teams gaffes.

Good start to scoreboard watching as Dallas, Washington, and Minnesota all trail. Very early of course.

Until Christian Ponder predictably leads Minnesota by throwing for 75 yards on a 91 yard scoring drive.

All the sudden Ponder can't be stopped. WTF

I can't wait until we win our final two but don't get in because GB loses in the Metrodome next week.
