Week 15 Green Bay @ Lovie's Chokers (No GB Fans Allowed)

I hear you but this sort of stuff just makes it worse when we lose.

As a fan with a family full of cheese heads, I mean.

I made a drunken bet on Cutler/Clay Matthews fatheads with a Packer fan. I really dont' want Clay on my wall but I think it's going to happen. To be fair, it was the week we went 7-1...

Was the bet on this game? If the Bears are able to pull it off, you need to do a custom fathead and make it this one.

I think it's Marshall's way of daring GB to put single coverage on him, which no team in their right mind would do right now.

In other news, Woodson has officially been ruled out, so the Bears catch a bit of a break there.

Hopefully Tim Jennings plays.

Sadly it was on the division, I believe we had a 2 game lead at the time. Can you actually do custom fatheads? That would be fantastic...

I hope Jennings can play so he can match up against Cobb.

The commercials state that you can.

I love you Brandon, but please, please shutup.

If things were rolling I'd say "shhhh, don't rock the boat." But this team is a mess right now and his rambling doesn't really matter.

Exactly.

Someone has to tell BMarsh that if getting 160 receiving yards couldnt beat the Seahawks or Vikings, there's probably not much he can do to help win even if he does blow up.

Thinking about playoffs scenarios, if the Bears are the 6th seed, their path would be at the Giants, at Atlanta and then at either SF or Green Bay (probably in that order but who really knows with SF) With a few healthy bodies none of those games seem like horrible mismatches for the Bears.

I'm not sure if that makes me feel better or worse.

Looking at the Giants schedule, I don't think they make the playoffs. Also, SF is not a lock in the West since the only road game the Seahawks have left is at Buffalo. When I do the playoff machine I have the Redskins winning the East and the Seahawks winning the West. Giants still play at BAL and at ATL. 49ers are at SEA and at NE.

I think the seeds end up:

1 ATL

2 GB

3 SEA

4 WAS

5 SF

6 CHI

Of course this could all just be wishful thinking on my part. I don't want to see the Giants in the playoffs.

The Ravens have been winning with smoke and mirrors all season. They barely beat the Cowboys and had no business beating the Chargers. They aren't nearly as good as their record. That game at the end of the year will be meaningless to Atlanta since they will already have HF. Meanwhile, talk here is that they might rest RGIII this week. They can't win without him.

11 Bears missed practice today, not counting the ones who have already gone on IR. Haha.

Actually, there was no practice, mostly because of the number of injuries. They did a walkthrough instead.

Charles Woodson will not play.

Also, Jermichael Finley said things:

“Urlacher is at the end of his career right now; he’s playing a little slow out there,” Finley said, via Paul Imig of FoxSportsWisconsin.com. “I don’t think they’re losing too much if he’s out. Putting another guy in might help them a little.”

The Giants play the Falcons this week. Even with a win the Falcons would not lock up HF unless SF and GB lose. And that doesn't matter because it's a noon game. If the Packers win out and the Falcons go 1-2 the Packers hold the tie breaker. If the 49ers win out and the Falcons go 1-2 the 49ers would have a better record. The Falcons will not be in rest mode against the Giants.

True on Baltimore, but you never know which Giants team will show up. The game at Baltimore is far from a lock. Also, I'm fairly certain that both the Cowboys and the Redskins would hold the tie breaker over the Giants. Even if the Giants beat the Ravens and go 2-1 I wouldn't be surprised to see either of those teams go 3-0 and beat them out. Since the Redskins play the Cowboys in Week 17, if they both win their next two (not a huge stretch judging their opponents) then the Giants are eliminated from the division unless they go 3-0 (or if the Redskins and Cowboys tie). I'm not saying it's going to happen, but when I look at the schedules it seems like the Giants have the most difficult situation even with a one game lead on both teams.

Actually, there was no practice, mostly because of the number of injuries. They did a walkthrough instead.

"Had the Bears practiced, 11 players would have been unable to participate: Earl Bennett (concussion), Lance Briggs (knee/hip), Michael Bush (ribs), Jay Cutler (neck/knee), Kellen Davis (knee), Geno Hayes (knee), Tim Jennings (shoulder), Shea McClellin (knee), Henry Melton (chest), Jonathan Scott (shoulder) and Brian Urlacher (hamstring)."

Yeah, poor wording on my part, same idea though. They actually cancelled practice because so many players were injured lol.

“He’s an idiot,” Briggs said, via Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times. “Just suit up and play ball. His comments aren’t going to change the outcome of the game, they’re not going to help him or anybody else play better. Doesn’t really matter.”

In an effort to lower any tensions before that happens, Finley took to Twitter Thursday.

“Urlacher is a hall of fame player and person. I meant no disrespect to him in previous comments, I was simply trying to explain that his replacement in the lineup is a good player as well,” Finley wrote.

Every GB fan I know thinks Finley is a [expletive] idiot

It's easy to think that way. It seems like the roster is full of "team" players and Finley is a "me" player. He also drops a lot of balls and complains that they don't throw it to him enough. He also felt slighted in how he was treated (not alone in this one) as an injured player during the weeks leading to the SB. And, of course, he's the only guy on the team that Skip Bayless likes. This is mainly due to the fact that Finley doesn't like Rodgers and Bayless doesn't like Rodgers, because, you know, Rodgers treated Favre bad by being really good and quickly making Packers fans forget who Favre was and that wasn't very nice because Skip loves Favre and the Packers treated Favre so bad, and Favre is Skip's boy, and Rodgers did everything he could to avoid the Favre vs. Packers drama, but he probably should have just convinced McCarthy that he really should be the backup and Favre should be the starter, and they were just so mean to Favre, and if Rodgers just wasn't so good and didn't handle everything so well then it wouldn't have made Favre look so bad... Well, you get it.

I've fully come to realize to realize that Bayless' only visible talent is being a meathead who stirs things up by saying outlandish things that generally go against the grain. I loved it last year when Mark Cuban eviscerated Bayless on ESPN and showed the many flaws of Skippy's arguments.

I'm getting to the point where I'll only watch ESPN if there's a live event because otherwise it's pure proganda to drive ratings (sounds like a cable news channel that ryhmes with lox) instead of being a legitimate sports news source.
