LeBron returning to Cleveland after 2014 would be quite interesting.

If that were to happen, and even though I've soured on him since the whole SuperFriendsdeal, having DWade come to the Bulls after 2014 would be pretty sweet as a sidekick for Rose. I suppose age and skills erosion would be a huge consideration in the Bulls' Wade interest.

This has been happening for a good 3+ years now. He's lucky he's playing with a top 5 player of all time. By the time he'd come to the Bulls he'd be pretty useless.

This would be like TMac wanting to come to the Bulls late in his career. Screw him. He had his chance.

The Atlanta Hawks suspended top-scorer Josh Smith for Wednesday night's home game against the Brooklyn Nets for "conduct detrimental to the team."

The one-game suspension, which comes with an undisclosed fine, was announced Wednesday by Hawks general manager Danny Ferry. The Hawks did not reveal the conduct that led to the suspension.

Has to be off the court/behind closed doors from the media. If it was an on the court thing fighting with a coach/player/opponent, going at it with a ref, etc. I'm sure that incident would have been reported in the story as the media was there to cover it. I feel like a Josh Smith to the Lakers trade is coming in some form (either Gasol+ going to ATL or a third team involved) before the deadline.

the joke was that he's so bad right now that his conduct on the court was considered detrimental to the team

Some of us got it.

Looks like the Kings to Seattle is more or less a done deal, and they are going to try to get the team relocated and renamed in time for the returns of the Sonics next season.

All good news, imo.

Eh, I remember how awesome the Sacto crowd was even when the kings sucked. I hate seeing them leave.

There's still what, three California teams? *shrug*

The only time I remember the Kings being relevant was during the Chris Webber era.

Yeah they've been awful, but as cubs fans we cant really use that as a reason to move a team that's well supported.

Since '07, the Kings have been at, or near the bottom of the league in attendance, and even then they were just middle of the pack. Not the same as the Cubs at all.

So, more like the Blackhawks.

Here's an interesting perspective on the matter, an open letter from a Kings fan to the Maloofs: http://t.co/nqSTnFRD

Blackhawks fans are lucky that Rocky died. Because low attendance, while the only really valid form of fan protest, does leave you open to this kind of choice by the owners.

But even in the Kings years of success, they didn't crack the top 10 in attendance. The Blackhawks have led the league in attendance for the last 4 years. So even that isn't quite similar.

That's a capacity issue. The Kings had a 354-game sellout streak which ran from Nov 1999 through Nov 2007, although it should have ended sometime in the season before (the year after Adelman was fired and when the team started going downhill). After moving to Sacramento in 1985, they sold out the first 497 games they played, which didn't end until the 97-98 season. The Kings made the playoffs only twice in that span and didn't have a winning record in any season.
