I've been wondering the same this entire half. We do it too. I noticed it a lot in the Brooklyn series (Noah seems to be on his way to the basket before the screen is complete often) but they seem to call it at random.

I've been wondering the same this entire half. We do it too. I noticed it a lot in the Brooklyn series (Noah seems to be on his way to the basket before the screen is complete often) but they seem to call it at random.

It's legal to move towards the basket during the screen. You're not allowed to step out, though it happens all the time.
