Yes, god they might lose a few of those oh so important early season games now. You're totally right.

Holy Hell, are you not reading what I'm posting?

Yes, tell me if rose is done as an elite player. What moves can they make to save this team?

I think we all agree going as far as saying "[expletive] Rose" is a little silly, but it's well past the point of being viable to question just what exactly is going on here with Rose and the Bulls.

This guy's argument, boiled down to its core, might as well be that Rose retires since nobody's beating the Heat and he might not be the same player so why even bother to try and find out.

If he's not playing next year, have at it. It's only been a year now. Jesus Christ.

Nothing. But it's not just a question of whether he's only elite or not.

Question Rose's motivations all you like, but after a win like this, "[expletive] Rose" being literally the first response is a little bizarre and ridiculous.

I agree with that; I'm frustrated with the Rose camp this season, but that's just pure meatballery. That said, generally question why people would be annoyed with him is just willfully putting blinders on.

So there really isn't much of a difference if he waits until next season. There is no big move this offseason that could save this team if rose isn't the same.

FWIW my response was "[expletive] Reggie Rose".

I just...

I...

I don't know how else to explain this.

He has been out a year. Not everyone is Adrian Peterson. There is absolutely reason to question why people are annoyed at rose.

Miami's the clear favorite but I'm not going to say it's impossible for a Rose led Bulls team not to give them a series.

There really isn't. He's been cleared to play for 2 months. There's nothing more he can do to get better other than play. Literally not one thing.

ETA: I'm not saying you or anyone else is wrong for agreeing with his course of action, but there unequivocally is reason, if one is so inclined, to question Rose.

Next year I agree with you, this year no way. His games would be rehab. Let him do those when the stakes are low at the beginning of next year.

It's an 8-10 month injury. We're at 12. He was cleared to play 6 weeks ago and his idiot brother has been playing power broker via media while Rose makes vague statements of intent.

Plus a lot of it stems from how he's been so wishy-washy about the whole thing. People would be annoyed, but it would be much different if he had flat-out said he's sitting out the year as opposed to this "maybe I'm done, maybe I'm not" crap.

But nobody is beating the Heat, so why weren't the stakes low in the month leading up to the playoffs?

Yep. If he had come out in January and said he was going to sit out the rest of the year to be 100% ready in October, then people would be annoyed but at least there would be a stance taken beyond nebulous statements of mental readiness.

If rose plays all year and is playoff ready, they absolutely could beat the heat. Him just showing up and trying to play now, no freaking way.

Is it Iman Shumpert for the Knicks that tore his ACL the same week as Rose? He's been playing since February at least.

It was the same day.

He means that if no one is beating the Heat without a fully-prepared Rose (and I agree with that thought), then why not play the last month or even couple weeks of the regular season and test the waters? What is there to lose?

Nothing, but he didn't. That's what makes me think he thinks he's still hurt.
