Game 7 - Carolina Panthers @ BEARS - 12 PM

My prediction:

 

Bears 17

Panthers 13

 

 

I doubt the Bears will cover that spread, and I'm generally expecting a low-scoring game. The Panthers aren't good because they keep figuring out how to wind up on the short end of the score. But -- they've only been blown out once. Cutler won't be 100%. I think the Bears gameplan will feature a heavy dose of Forte/Bush.

 

Doesn't Carolina have an awful defense? Or at least they did last year. I would think of anything, the game would be high scoring on both sides, similar to last year's game. The defense is due for a bit of a letdown game, and you know Chico is likely pulling out all the stops in this one, given that its the Bears and his job is on the line.

My week 8 preview. Carolina's defense actually has not allowed big plays either. They've been picked apart though and have been on the field a ton (2nd most time on field in the NFL), and teams are converting 45% of 3rd downs against them. A lot of plays will be there in the 15-25 yard window.
