True, but I don't see any other great - or even close to great - team in the SEC. LSU might be great, but other than their demolition of UW they haven't done anything to show it.

I'm not. Clearly anything can happen on a given Saturday but there is a large gap between Alabama and the other teams in college football. Oregon could could obviously beat Alabama but Alabama has such an immense advantage on both lines that I'd be surprised if Oregon could adequately get the ball to their playmakers in open space.

Alabama is the best team but college football can be weird. And it's a lot to ask any team to win 12/13 straight games in a row so I never feel comfortable picking any team to do it. I don't remember anyone hyping them up as a nearly unbeatable juggernaut until they beat Michigan, who isn't bad but they aren't a championship contender.

 

Then again, aside from the loss to LSU they destroyed everyone on their schedule last year and then they dominated LSU so maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

Disagree on USC having the best chance to beat Alabama. One reason Barkley's struggling so badly is how wretched USC's offensive line is, and they're not going up against a team of Alabama's caliber.

Their best lineman and leader has been out too. The other USC may have a chance too. South Carolina is a pretty good team. Boring as hell, but good.

I can tell you that UCF does, and it somehow manages to barely crack the list of annoyances from attending a game there.
