Yao-Lin Wang moved from closer to starter in Peoria. Will start tomorrow.

Thoughts running in my head as I see this -

a) What did Jeffry Antigua do to piss off people? I mean, it's one thing to think that he might not be a capable starter in the upper levels ... but he's been capable in the lower levels.

b) Yao-lin Wang is like ... their last resort guy. They didn't want him as the closer to start, but he settled into that role. Is this a one-off, or is he starting for the rest of the year?

c) What's the domino effect? Is Michael Jensen hurt (because tomorrow was his day)? Hard to see Jensen getting moved up right now, but I guess that can't be ruled out.

d) Guessing Liria goes to the closer role, unless they decide to try Austin Reed there?

I read somewhere that Antigua's been sitting mid-80's this year. Again, not sure if that is the cause for demotion when he was still getting very solid results or even if it's true.

Yao-Lin Wang would actually be replacing Joe Zeller. Jensen's turn is Friday.

Interestingly, the dodgers scouts are here at the chiefs/whitecaps game...

Very interesting. My guess is they're looking at Rosario.

Sitting 91-94, 85 mph curve. Great pick off move, horribly wild throw

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Chicago Cubs Minor League right-handed pitchers Juancito De La Cruz and Antonio Encarnacion have each been suspended for 50 games without pay after testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol. The suspensions of De La Cruz and Encarnacion, who are currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Cubs, are effective immediately.

Rosario leaves in 3rd inning, apparent injury. Velocity and control disappeared, and after giving up 3 the pc mgr and trainer popped out and yanked him quick.

Maybe they're scouting the Tigers? Or maybe their scouting Baez in the impending trade for Matt Kemp to the Cubs?

I hope that didn't just blow up some deal.

Whoever it is, it's not a pitcher, no gun.

@peoriachiefs: Oh no, Rosario walks off the mound with an apparent arm injury after the 2 run double by McVaney. Chiefs down 3-1 in the 3rd. McDonald in.

Man, the top pitching prospects in this organization have just been plagued with injury - Maples, Wells and now Rosario.

Terrible. That "all hitting" approach idea is looking genius right about now.

Speculation in the park is phantom injury.

Speculation by whom?
