I hope that didn't just blow up some deal.

Speculation in the park is phantom injury.

Speculation by whom?

No one of significance, really, but most of the whitecaps staff expressed disbelief

I don't think the trainer comes out over a phantom injury.

The pc came out first, calling the trainer and kopitzke. And didn't wait for either of them to take the ball.

Baez double.

13-game hit streak.

"@Kevin_Goldstein: A. No reason. B. No Room. RT @ChiTownGuido23: @Kevin_Goldstein Vogelbach Boise or Peoria-bound anytime soon?"

"@Kevin_Goldstein: Folks, before you start asking for a guy to move up, consider the whole system. Not just the guy. Cubs HAVE 1B at Boise and Peoria."

"@Kevin_Goldstein: That, and there's no reason to move up Vogelbach."

"@Kevin_Goldstein: NOT ready. RT @UrbyJT: @Kevin_Goldstein why wasn’t Vogelbach assigned to Peoria or Boise at the beginning of season? Just not ready?"

"@Kevin_Goldstein: Also, before you get all crazy about AZL numbers, that league is crazy. Teams are averaging more than 6.5 runs per game. #perspective"

I dont see how he's any less ready than Shoulders was when he was promoted.

Vogelbach was awful in exst, which cost him.

Which basically mean he got off to a slow start. I don't really understand why that means he can't be promoted when he's shown consistent progress and performance over a fairly good amount of time.

It wasn't a slow start, he didn't look like he belonged in Mesa even during April and May.

Interestingly, the dodgers scouts are here at the chiefs/whitecaps game...

Maybe they're scouting the Tigers? Or maybe their scouting Baez in the impending trade for Matt Kemp to the Cubs?

Could be nobody in particular and they're simply checking out all of our lower levels for throw ins. I have to imagine that type of thing is common when making trades with low level throw ins and PTBNLs involved. Then again, maybe they were just there to ogle Taiwan Easterling. They're only human.

My guess is that it's his glove more than his bat. If that's the case, they wouldn't want him DHing.

Baez added a single and scored a run.

he rounded first really aggressively and was nearly caught on the cut off relay throw

Amaya hit his 4th homer. If he's developing average power, he's becoming extremely interesting.

He seems to DH a lot, does he have a position?

He's played a little SS and 3B, but AZPhil said back in EXST that he'd made quite a bit of progress at 2B. With his hitting, adding some pop, it'd make him a serious plus for us at 2B.
