Rizzo's Iowa MLE: .286/.331/.548/.859

Rizzo's Total AAA MLE: .279/.331/.524/.855

Either of those lines would be 8th among qualified 1B(7th really, because LaHair is just biding time).

ML or NL?

MLB. Votto, Konerko, Encarnacion(what?), Goldschmidt, LaHair, Dunn, and Fielder are all .870+. LaRoche(.837), Napoli(.807), and Hart(.803) are the only other qualified guys above .800.

I am still not used to this new environment.

If TT is using the same MLE calculator I typically use, NL/AL is not an option.

Edit: I cannot parse simple questions.

Using that MLE calculator, Rizzo's season at Iowa would translate to .285/.337/.546/.883 with 14 2B, 17 HR, 46 RBI

have the cubs lost a year of control by calling him up this season?

As Duderino said, no.

As I understand it, he will be a super two, though, which means he gets an extra year of arbitration eligibility.

Has there been any indication as to where he will fit in the lineup?

Kasper opined on the Danny Mac Show this morning that he thought he'd be #3, because of "protection" and wanting to keep him around Castro and Soriano in the lineup. (He went on to talk about the evidence that protection is a myth)... so I'm not sure if his speculation is based on anything or not.

He's trending all over twitter. Imagine the excitement here when the Cubs callup somebody who is a legit blue chip top 5 prospect type.

Seems anti-climactic to me. He's already Cubs property, so the call-up itself doesn't really matter.

Just gives some portion of a large fanbase a reason to watch games again. For a little while, at least.

As for your first point, remember the media circus when we called up Prior in 02?

no, that's why they waited as long as they did.

Actually (look at the question)THEY HAVE LOST A YEAR! By calling him up this year instead of next he will be a free agent in 2019 instead of 2020!!! OMGz!

I hope Jeff Baker is traded or DFA'd

From MLBTR:

The Nationals have been poking around for a right-handed hitting corner infielder to replace Mark DeRosa, who is hurt and declining. John Lannan has improved his trade stock by pitching better of late in Triple-A.

I'd do that.

Well. the Nats would be getting a guy who just sucks instead of being hurt/declining. So an upgrade.
