Baez with a walk. :D

And a stolen base. And this:

@sahadevsharma I know most are preoccupied w/ the draft, but I'm out in Kane County & Baez has made two really nice plays at short #prospects

Ben Wells walked off in the 3rd inning with an injury. Threw two good innings before that.

Please be a blister.

All I could find through a Twitter search is that he walked off the field with the trainer prior to the 3rd inning. I'll assume it means he took a few warm up tosses before being pulled. Don't like.

Jackson walked again in the 6th, but was caught stealing 3rd on a strikeout/throw out with Rizzo coming to the plate.

Is Sveum calling in base running signals to AAA in his free time?

In 10 at bats in the DSL, Luis Acosta has 4 doubles but 3 strikeouts.

Baez's single the other day that he was thrown out trying to stretch into a double:

Would really like to see that play at 2nd base. There's no way he was out.

After a hot start and then falling off a cliff, Michael Burgess has quietly stabalized at a respectable .269/.352/.441/.793 line. Nothing to get to excited about, but the Iowa Cubs roster has only 3 outfielders, 2 of which will likely be in Chicago by September and the 3rd is the very definition of organizational. Burgess is 23 and still has some glimmer of promise. Should he be sent to Iowa sooner than later?

Is it possible to think he could be a Daryle Ward type? LH power pinch hitter can play some OF/1B and is the 24/25th man on the roster.

WSR, Burgess has done a great job reducing his strikeout rate from previous years. I'd rather see him spend additional time at this level to stabilize that gain before challenging him again.

I think we should start a Rizzo countdown now that it's down to like 15-20 days or whatever it is (I'm not remembering the exact date).

Seeing as there's no urgency, if I'm Theo/Jed I'm trying to trade LaHair for the best offer as we speak, then we bring up Rizzo. Otherwise, LaHair's sitting on the bench gradually losing any trade value he may have amassed.
