Yeah, you should. They're there tomorrow too but obviously it's much tougher to get out to Geneva at 6:30 on a work day. Tomorrow, Ben Wells and Starling Peralta will piggyback for Peoria. They are both very interesting prospects.

They Chiefs will be back in Kane County 9/1 - 9/3. Who knows what the composition of that Chiefs team will be - they might have their '12 first round pick then though.

They also might have Soler by then.

That's a long wait, though.

I'd have a hard time finding someone to go with and getting that all together today. I could go tomorrow after work which is actually easier because it's closer to work than home for me, but I was looking forward to coming home, popping on MLB Network and following the draft after work tomorrow. I suppose I could just DVR it and follow on Twitter.

Interesting. Wonder if it's a scheduled day off, disciplinary from our guys, or to possibly protect him from more retaliation? My guess is two, even if I disagree with it. Gotta follow the stupid rules.

Baez is not in the lineup.

And thank you for alleviating me of all guilt about not going today.

Yeah, I'm guessing #2. I read that Peoria's manager was upset with Baez too.

Whatever. I'm cool with a Ryan Braun-esque douche on my team if he can back it up. And doesn't wear Affliction shirts.

Yeah, when I read about him homering and yelling I'll do WTF I want, he immediately became my favorite prospect.

I'm heading out to the Peoria game. I'm hoping to sit behind the plate and I'm sporting a ridiculous attempt at a beard if anyone wants to say hi.

PJ Francescon, not Whitenack, starting today. Whitenack should go tomorrow - both were on 4 days rest since they pitched a doubleheader early last week.

Francescon was a beast in Peoria. I don't know much about him, but am I correct in that he isn't really anybody to keep an eye on? 23 year old in low/high A who's only 5'11"

Well, while it probably winds up as such, this is his first full year of pro ball. I try and give everyone that long at least. If he struugles bigtime in Daytona, I'll probably write him off too, but if he pitches well, makes it to Tennessee, then he pops up as a potential bullpen arm for the future.

I can't make it today, but I'll try to get out there after work tomorrow.

I think he has a possibility to be a solid middle reliever but I wouldn't expect more than that.

With all of the good stuff that's gone on in the past few days, on the farm anyway, I can't be the 1st one who's noticed that Szczur hasn't played in the past 3 days, can I? Is he getting another break to party with his buddies at the Villanova graduation festivities or what?

I pointed it out in yesterday's thread.
