LaHair is out of the lineup because he is wretchedly bad against LH pitchers.

Yeah, I just viewed his splits. Still, I think the best players should play regardless of what hand the pitcher throws with, outside of scheduled off-days every now and then. Especially when LaHair had his best game yesterday in the past 2 weeks and, it's not like Baker is really hitting anyone this year.

How'd you feel about Jacque Jones sitting vs lefties?

Did you catch when Keith yesterday mentioned getting "brain baked" the night before?

The 180 I'm doing on Samardzija reminds me of when Joakim Noah got good.

I think, by volume and depth, the two players I've doubted the most are Samardzija and Stewart.

I was optimistic, given last year and the reports on his offseason.. Then ST came, and as much as I tried not to get excited about ST, K'ing that many guys and walking basically nobody was exciting nevertheless.

Why, if the splits indicate that the batter is horrible against certain handed pitchers?

B/c your other option is Jeff Baker, who isnt hitting anybody right now. I'll take my chances with the better player.

Baker is still the better hitter against lefties.

Bueno Barney.

He's flirting with a .700 OPS, and going into today he was on pace for a 2.7 fWAR season.

Bueno bueno. They should totally bench DeJesus.
