Most of the time the goat was in a stroller, but yes. They managed to combine the tired concept of walk across the country for something with the tired concept of bring a goat to Wrigley. Good cause though.

I hate this mostly righty lineup that gets featured vs lefty starters. LaHair finally got back on track and Stewart had a nice day at the plate yesterday...and what is their reward? Sit the next day. Yeah, that will help them stay hot at the plate!

Stewart I kind of agree with despite having less experience against lefties; LaHair, on the other hand, is just horrible against them.

Wow! Am I reading this correctly that lefties hit Stults better than righties in his career?

So, why again is LaHair and Stewart out of the lineup again? I guess that lefty-killer, Baker, needs to play, huh?

For his career, yes, for the season, lefties aren't hitting him at all. LaHair has been awful for a couple weeks and can't hit lefties at all, so nothing wrong with him being out. But I do not get Mather being in there unless it's more about resting Stewart's wrist than the splits thing. Mather has cooled considerably ever since Sveum decided to play him more. He's never been a lefty masher and hasn't been one this year.

LaHair is out of the lineup because he is wretchedly bad against LH pitchers.

Yeah, I just viewed his splits. Still, I think the best players should play regardless of what hand the pitcher throws with, outside of scheduled off-days every now and then. Especially when LaHair had his best game yesterday in the past 2 weeks and, it's not like Baker is really hitting anyone this year.

Why, if the splits indicate that the batter is horrible against certain handed pitchers?
