I feel another multi-run homer coming on here...

Call your doctor !! Perhaps he could give you a shot for that..... like a pistol to the side of the head, eh?

CUBS were on a pace to finish 59-103 starting the day, but we've got Houston & Pittsburgh coming up, so things are going to get better, no?

sarcastic Fred? In May?

We are doomed.

I think we were doomed quite some time back, no?

and suddenly neither Garza nor Dempster have any trade value

I'm not one of those guys who's going to jump down other's throats for speaking(or typing) their minds, but you know damn well that's just a stupid thing to say.

Yeah, it's just frustrating that it happens against the Astros, and with distinction... this isn't exactly the first of Garza's string of bad starts either

It really is though. This was an exceptionally bad one, but it's only the 2nd in which he gave up more than 2 runs this season. The other was vs. the Marlins in which he went 5 innings and gave up 6 runs but struck also out 7.

I like being wrong sometimes.

Of course they do, and why would you still want them to trade Garza?

I don't, but it's always nice to have the option, which I'm sure Theo/Hoyer is considering

Bob's reaction whenever Len brings up his analysis is interesting.

Bob will give his pretty old timey point, Len refutes it with a very good point and Bob kind of agrees with a tone that says "[expletive] it".

If they don't plan on opening the check book in the next year or 2, we almost have to trade Garza as long as he'd bring back 3 guys who could help in the next 2 years. Again, that's if they don't plan on spending.

Yeah, if they don't plan on spending on good players, our best course of action is to trade away our good players.
