This is hours late, but I had the misfortune of listening to the Score this morning, and there few things baseball-related more detestable than hearing Barry Rozner tear down Aramis Ramirez.

Oliver Perez is still in the league, I did not know that

I was stunned to see Omar Vizquel playing shortstop for Toronto the other day

Rozner was saying a lot of dumb things about other sports too. I like Mulley and Hanley, but man, the fill in hosts often leave much to be desired on that show.

The Marlins are far more concerned about their club beyond 2013 as opposed to 2013 itself, executives who have inquired on Josh Johnson told Passan. Those sources say the Marlins plan to cut payroll next year, after this year's franchise high, and thus seek cheap, young players.

I for one am shocked.

Yesterday he was gloating that Aramis is only hitting well now that the Brewers are out of it, "just like he's always done." The glee in his voice was just so punchable. Yes, Aramis starts slow and usually doesn't have an impressive April. Yes, he's on his hottest streak right now. You know what else he did this year? Hit .274 .364 .484 .848 in May. And .295 .374 .523 .896 in June. Yet here you have this asshat talking like he's been a bust until about 2 weeks ago.

Found it sorta interesting while rabbit-trailing on BR today that Bagwell was only a four time all-star. Seems like he would have made more than that. Looking through the NL rosters of the years when he was in his prime but didn't make it, it looks like he suffered multiple times from the "every team must have a player" rule because twice Richie Sexson and twice Sean Casey made all-star teams when Bags didn't. Same with Ryan Klesko in 2001 with the Padres. Helton was on a bunch of the teams too that Bags wasn't on and was the only player from the Rockies a few of those years, although I think he may have gotten in on merit those years anyways. You could also automatically subtract a spot for Bags during most of his career because of McGwire and then Pujols.

Wow, that is so weird that I had to check BR myself....crazy that he got MVP votes in 6 different seasons that he didn't make the ASG.

I remember Frank Thomas finishing 2nd without making the All Star team once which was bizarre but 6 different times is just insane. And you can't necessarily blame it on being a slow starter, as he had a career .932 OPS in the first half and an only slightly higher .969 in the 2nd half.

upon closer scrutiny it looks like what screwed up Bagwell the most was that only two first basemen were taken in 3 of those 4 years.

1998: Only two 1B taken and it was Big Mac and the Big Cat.

2001: The starter was Todd Helton (who I'd say earned it that year) but the backups were Sean Casey and and Klesko who were each their teams only All-Star. This is the year that is most damning of that representation rule because at the All-Star break Bagwell had 21 HR and 68 RBI (using those stats because that's what most voters look at I'm sure).

2002: Only two 1B taken. Helton starter and Sexson backup; both were only player from their team although both were having very legit seasons.

2003: Same as 2002, only two taken and it was Helton and Sexson. Helton was only player taken from Rockies but Sexson had Geoff Jenkins with him.

Marlins announce Carlos Zambrano going to the bullpen. LeBlanc to rotation.

lmao

I'll be that guy. I feel bad for Z. I'm still a fan.

with the current interleague play (and the constant interleague starting next year), why do they still reset a player's stats when they're traded from the NL to AL (or vice versa)?

So stupid
